Ayurveda and Health with maryna
Personalized Balance Guided by Ayurveda, Yogic Principles, and the integration of modern health, and psychology with ancient wisdom.
The Ayurvedic mode of healing integrates the energy of nature in our bodies, creating tangibility on a Journey of balance, with healing as a result.
This foundational understanding cultivates homeostasis within our intrinsic and extrinsic environments as the pursuit of well-being.
Following this path of clarity with ayurveda holds many correlations to the regulation of the nervous system, digestive system, and healing down to the cellular level.
““Samadosha, samagnischa samadhatumala kriyaha prasanna atmenindriya manaha swasthya ityabhidheeyate” — Archarya Susruta
The Ayurvedic definition of health: Balanced dosha (energies), balanced agni (metabolism), balanced functioning of bodily tissues (dhatus), proper elimination, and a peaceful mind are the signs of good health.
“Ayurveda, with its Tridosha or three humours system, is able to provide complete understanding of the cause of health in terms of metabolic balance. Dis-ease is simply understood as an imbalance between nerve energy (vata), catabolic fire energy (pitta), and anabolic nutritive energy (kapha). All foods have an effect on the overall balance of these respective humors.” — The Yoga of Herbs, Frawley, D., Vasant, L.
“As the body’s resource management system, metabolism is all about adaptation. Our environment is constantly changing, and so are our circumstances in the environment. As a result, our metabolism is constantly changing to keep up the the shifts around us. These adaptations in metabolism allow us to thrive in optimal environments or to simply survive in situations that are stressful to the body, like food scarcity. But food isn’t the only change the metabolism responds to - numerous factors play a role, like physiological stress, light exposure, temperature, how much sleep we get, hormone levels, and the amount of oxygen available to the cells. At the end of the day, metabolism is the body’s battle to stay alive. “ — Brain Energy, Palmer, C.

What Happens in an Ayurvedic Health Consultation?
Your Ayurvedic consultation starts with a comprehensive view of your health—body, mind, and spirit. Before the session, you'll fill out a wellness questionnaire to prepare for a discussion about your health history, current state, and future wellness goals. During the consultation, the practitioner will ask questions about digestion, sleep, nutrition, and physical activity. You'll also explore your unique constitutional makeup and ways to enhance your innate state of health. You’ll receive initial suggestions to begin balancing and address your reasons for consultation; followed by personalized recommendations to restore balance, which could include dietary suggestions, cooking guidance, daily routines, Ayurvedic herbs, treatments, meditation, Yoga asanas, and other tools such as aromatherapy. The follow-up email will provide guidance on how to implement these recommendations over the next two to four weeks. The goal of the consultation is to help you become your own healer, guiding you toward greater balance in all areas of life. Initial consultations last 60–90 minutes to allow for an in-depth assessment. Follow-up sessions can be tailored to your ongoing needs.
Your Consultation Includes:
- A one-on-one session with Maryna, a trained Ayurvedic practitioner
- A complete dosha analysis to determine your unique mind/body type (Prakriti)
- Exploration of your health history
- Personalized diet, lifestyle, and supplement recommendations
- Before the consultation, please avoid eating or drinking anything for 2.5 hours.
